Romans 1 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed – a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’

There will be a service at 10.30am on Good Friday (3 April 2026) followed by a walk of witness around the streets of Measham for those who would like to participate.

Measham Baptist Church is the group of people who meet regularly in the church building in Chapel Street, Measham, DE12 7JD. Please click here to see where we are.

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God and that salvation may only be obtained by confessing your sin and repenting of it, and placing your complete faith and trust in the risen Jesus Christ, son of the living God, by whose death on the cross we obtain forgiveness of our sin and everlasting life with God.

We have two services every Sunday; the morning service is held at 10.30 am, and the evening service is held at 6.00 pm.

We also have an evening bible study and prayer meeting every Thursday, and a monthly afternoon bible study and prayer meeting on the last Tuesday of the month.
