Les retired from full-time teaching in 2014 and now many of the skills and talents he used in the classroom are seen more and more in the church. He often leads services or corporate worship and has a reputation for some excellent children's talks.



Like the rest of the leadership team, he regularly leads Bible Study but may equally be found decorating, or mending things in the church. Les's wife Lynda is one of the leaders in the Girls Brigade with a reputation for excellent hospitality.



When he gets a minute, Les loves to go walking in the Peak District, watch Derby County play football, and read the works and teachings of Charles Spurgeon.
